The Darling Boy is versatile and consistent and opened his account over hurdles at Taunton last month. He's not out of this, despite a 6lb higher mark. Daveron has gone close on a couple of occasions and Comte D'Anjou showed a bit more at Sandown last time while the four-year-old Ivanhoe beat a fair sort at Ffos Las in December. BERKELEY AVENUE looks the type to do much better now going handicapping. Gavin Sheehan's claim will help his cause as will a pair of blinkers and he should be a working man's price. No Likey may need this but will be worth monitoring for future reference as connections probably have a spring campaign in mind.
