Verdict

Henry Daly is trying to strike while the iron is hot with Saturday’s very easy Stratford winner Don Juan Du Gouet. His penalty means he will carry a welter burden again but Alice Stevens’ claim will help and he is sure to close to a quick double if this doesn’t come too soon. THOMAS BLOSSOM won this 12 months ago when 9lb higher. He went chasing after, with mixed success, but must have an excellent chance of a repeat if back on song. Foxy Act was a staying-on third over a slightly shorter trip here 12 days ago and Chance It won the first division of the same race. Hillview Lad reverts to hurdles on a fair mark but has a poor strike-rate.
