Verdict

Manhunter, Captain Clooney and Lady Ward look the ones to concentrate on in a race where jockeyship could be all important and we will side with Manhunter. The gelding from the in form Peter Bowen yard has being running well without winning of late but a reproduction of his latest second behind Petite Margot would make him hard to beat. Captain Clooney was a good second behind Apple Joe in a handicap chase last time and looks well in for his return to hurdles but his best form is with more cut in the ground so for that reason he is opposed. Lady Ward would have a chance on her best form. However she was well backed last time and disappointed. Of the remainder Rydon Lane is game and consistent and goes on any ground at it would be no surprise if he were to be placed again but he looks more exposed than most so we are happy to stick with Manhunter.
