Verdict

A small but competitive field goes to post for this handicap chase with not much between all of the rivals, however the principals look to be Take The Stand, Over The Storm and Handyman and we will take a chance on the last named. The nine year old was a good third behind Mighty Strong last time and that rival has since won again under a penalty so form looks rock solid and with the faster ground sure to suit Handyman is taken to score. Take The Stand rates the main danger he is from the bang in form Peter Bowen yard and was going well in a grade 3 chase last time until being brought down. He should go well but is running off a career high mark so for that reason is opposed. Over The Storm is also worthy of respect but although he travels well in his races he does not always find as much as is expected. Un Jour A Vassy was behind the selection last time but is no better off at the weights so the tentative vote goes to Handyman.
