    Verdict

LIBOR LAD had been threatening to win before getting off the mark in convincing fashion at Uttoxeter. He is up 6lb but looked to have plenty in hand and can go in again. Daany, a dual all-weather winner, has never scored over timber but was amateur-ridden when runner-up at Wincanton and Harry Cobden takes over. Bert Wilson won at Chepstow in March and is capable of a big run while Battle March has a course and distance victory to his credit though his stable may have a better chance with Merry Monty, who was well supported at Taunton last time.
