Verdict

The Evan Williams-trained ALANNA CASTLE is likely to be at short odds for this bumper and with opposition looking thin on the ground he is hard to oppose following a promising debut at Ludlow last month and gets the vote ahead of Disco Jack and Miss Molly Moses. The last mentioned was highly tried in a decent race at Cheltenham last time and should appreciate what appears a drop in class today. Tom George's Maple Syrup was well held on his debut at Towcester last month and is hard to recommend after that effort, while Disco Jack has been well held in both starts so far. Bob Buckler is capable of getting one ready first time out so Blazing Empress, a daughter of Emperor Fountain, has to be respected but Alanna Castle has an obvious chance and is hard to oppose.
