In depth

Verdict

ONE OF THE BOYS is given the vote here ahead of Folie A Deux and Foreign King. Tim Vaughan's gelding has been off the track since December, presumably waiting for some better ground. He gets quick conditions today and is fancied to win with Tony McCoy likely to make mincemeat of this mark of 94. Folie A Deux's second to Coach Lane was a good effort and the return to quicker ground today will suit, Bollitree Bob is back down to his last winning mark almost exactly a year ago, whilst Foreign King's fourth to Alph over hurdles puts him in with a chance as he tries fences for the first time. Remember Bampi can improve with a good young jockey booked for the ride, while Post It bounced back to form last time and now may be the best time to catch the Ron Hodges-trained mare. Interesting stuff, with the nod going to One Of The Boys.
