In depth

Verdict

Field Roller looks another winner for the Martin Pipe stable, with Once Seen and Day Du Roy put forward as the main rivals. This son of High Roller was most impressive over course and distance last time easily beating Longstone Lady by nine lengths. The runner up has done little for the form since but the selection won with [plenty in hand and looks set to improve further. Once Seen didn't fare too well in a handicap last time but had previously gone close in decent novice events. He does appear well handicapped and should be in the shake up. Day Du Roy, a dual winner last season, is now back on a decent mark and will be very hard to keep out of the money. Red Society should prove best of the remainder, but Field Roller is open to any amount of improvement and is a confident choice
