In depth

Verdict

Though pulled up the last twice, Yanmare has plenty in his favour here as he acts on the track, stays well and has his ground. Firebird Flyer’s second at Hereford was his best run for some time but he isn’t getting any younger. Richard Johnson is a significant jockey booking for the returning Big Meadow while Garrane has found only one too good in both starts this season. THE TWO AMIGOS jumped well over 3m2f at Newton Abbot in October and then only found an improver too strong over an inadequate trip at Market Rasen. A test like this should be right up his street and there is untapped potential. Stamina won’t be a problem for Cap Horner and Malapie looks best of the rest.
