In depth

Verdict

With a run over fences behind him and this switch to a right-handed track set to suit it'll be disappointing if TRIGGERMAN doesn't make light work of these. Having earned a rating of 132 over hurdles Philip Hobbs' horse looks to have a class advantage and he appeals as the type to improve over fences, a feeling undiminished by a pipe-opening second to a talented stablemate last time. Dover's Hill is nought from six over fences so far but looked set to put that right before coming to grief two starts back. Given a confidence-booster over hurdles since, he rates the benchmark and should give a good account of himself. Le Commencement needs to improve on a rating of 117 but does have winning point-to-point form in the bag already so along with last time faller Will If I Want and potential improver Persian Run merits respect.
