In a race where the market may offer more clues than the form book we'll take a chance on DEUCE. Lawney Hill is developing a reputation for improving other yard's cast-offs and in Deuce she's inherited a filly who showed a willing attitude to land a flat handicap before joining Eric McNamara in Ireland. She has had three runs over timber and shown little but as a consequence this mark of 98 looks good and a stamina test may be exactly what she wants. The Brimmer races off a mark only 4lbs higher than that he won off at the track so must enter calculations while formerly smart flat performer Kensington Oval tries cheek-pieces and needs a check in the market. Miss Saffron hasn't been out of the first three under this jockey while Richard Johnson's booking aboard Googoobarabajagal catches the eye and Henry Hook has become well handicapped.
