This presents ZAHRAAN with a fair opportunity to get off the mark; Aristeia is going the right way and shapes as though she can pose a threat while Bint Nas - a half-sister to Jersey Stakes winner Rainfall - is a newcomer with a pleasing pedigree that isn't exactly thrown in at the deep end for her racecourse bow. Mick Channon's horses are running well without (too many) winning at the moment, so it's feasible the last named may need more time, though. Aristeia showed little on debut at Kempton but improved for the switch to turf last time out. That experience of racing at Newbury will have done her the power of good and, given that she is likely to appreciate the drop in trip, a bold effort can be expected from the mount of Richard Hughes. Three Sparrows - a stablemate of Aristeia is also worth a mention. Although his breeding suggests he will come into his own when he is tried beyond a mile before too long. For now, however, Zahraan fits the bill for a punt in an open race. He was still very green when racing here 20 days ago and wasn't given a hard time as a result. Still, this would appear to be a slightly easier assignment and the son of Elusive City can be fancied to take advantage of that fact if he has his mind on the job today.
