A very competitive staying handicap chase where favourites have a dismal record in recent times and we'll take GO WEST to see off the forecast jolly Jam Packed. Go West went close to winning three times over fences in the spring and deserved to get his nose in front when doing so unchallenged at Southwell last time out. This testing track will suit, as will cut in the ground, and from the same mark he has every chance. Jam Packed stayed on well to win at Stratford last time and seems to go on any ground. A 1lb rise is none-too-taxing and he should be bang there, though his lofty connections might mean that he is not quite the value of the selection. Present M'Lord and Ibberton both represent the Alners and while both has ability neither look well handicapped today. In Accord acts with cut and stays well, so with his yard having had a winner on Monday we could go well with topweight. Mistress Nell has conditions to suit and is weighted to finish close to Go West on previous running between that pair. Asudo won at Perth in September but looked weighted up to the hilt last time and for today we prefer the claims of Go West.
