In depth

Verdict

Corazon Espinado is a real course specialist who will be much happier going left-handed again after runs at Goodwood and Ascot. He is still 5lb higher than when winning a more competitive race over a mile here in June but Murphy is a positive jockey booking. Firepower’s third at Newbury was a step in the right direction but Lexington Dash has done all of his winning over 6f while Bravado was only fifth off this mark at Goodwood on Saturday. Titan Rock, however, just came up short at Chester nine days ago though GREAT KING makes more appeal. Rossa Ryan possibly gave the Varian three-year-old too much to do at Doncaster last time and he’s been dropped a pound since.
