Pretty Jewel has won four of her five starts this season, including in a higher grade last time at Goodwood. She’s gone up 18lb in the weights since the start of the campaign but has to go on the short-list. Country'n'western won under George Eddery at Catterick and remains largely unexposed while Medalla De Oro has gone close the last twice, though hasn’t been helped by a 4lb rise. Jamie Codd has travelled over from Ireland to ride Je Suis Charlie for the in-form John Quinn and the same partnership won this in 2016. Whinging Willie likes it here but Roy Rocket is a Brighton specialist who is likely to find this company too hot. C’EST NO MOUR (NAP) and Simon Walker won this last year when 3lb lower. The top weight has run well off higher marks at Windsor and Ascot this year and could be poised for a repeat.
