Of those to have run Taruskin probably has the best form on offer ,and unless Brian Meehan's newcomer Queenstown is above average this should go to the former. Well supported on his debut at Warwick, the Danehill Dancer colt shaped with plenty of promise behind White Hawk, who has since gone on to finish second to the well regarded Imperial Stride, and Billy Allen, who has gone on to win at Brighton. The form has a solid look to it and he can only have improved for the experience, so he looks the one to be with. Queenstown, a half-brother to seven-furlong winner The Fancy Man, runs here in preference to an engagement later on in the week. The booking of Kieren Fallon catches the eye, but the stables newcomers invariably improve for a run. Of the others Waaedah is surely better than she showed on her debut. A sister to middle-distance winner Saihook she should be more at home over this trip rather than the five-furlongs she faced on her debut, while Florida Heart was well supported at Ponterfract and is another who is surely capable of better. However, Taruskin sets a fair standard and is taken to show his rivals a clean pair of heels.
