The final race on the Epsom card is the most wide open, with any number of potential challengers. We opt for A Woman In Love, with Its Ecco Boy, Mallard, Temper Tantrum and Florian others to consider to name but a few. The latter is on a retrieval mission after grabbing defeat from the jaws of victory at Lingfield eight days ago. Lining up in search of a hat-trick, Terry Mills' charge was well clear turning for home but tired rapidly inside the final furlong to somehow finish only third. More restraint may do the trick here, but even so we prefer to look elsewhere. A Woman In Love needs to be held up and in this big field Eddie Ahern should have no excuses. A winner at Lingfield last month, she did not get the fast pace that she needs when third behind Temper Tantrum and Its Ecco Boy at Brighton nine days ago, but they will go a good clip today and that will suit Brooke Sanders' four-year-old who can pounce fast and late to score. Its Ecco Boy is a model of consistency but has to meet the selection on five pound worse terms than at Brighton, while Temper Tantrum is fully 11 pounds worse off. Mallard has won three of his last four starts but is better on the all-weather, while Brighton specialist Mutabassir has much more to do in this company. Stick with A Woman In Love and she should make you happy.
