    Verdict

LANG SHINING has been kept busy in the grade but he needs to be at the top of his game to see off Kaleo and Ogre. Jamie Osborne's inmate was sold cheaply out of the Sir Michael Stoute yard and while he took some time to come back into form, he won a bad race at Chester before obliging last week under a peach of a ride by Sophie Doyle. This longer trip will not prove to be a problem. Kaleo is first time out for the season. The lightly raced six-year-old looks a certainty to make the running this evening. Ogre needs little introduction to followers of racing on the downs. The mare won two claimers at the track last season and is dropped back in grade tonight. What's Up Doc is better on artificial surfaces whilst Potentiale has struggled against the handicapper for some time. Lang Shining looks to be the best option in a race where cogent cases can be made for many.
