Six of the nine runners in the field are covered by just 5lbs on official ratings and this looks difficult to call. Baharah just gets the nod. Jamboretta is the lowest-rated filly but that may not have been the case if she hadn't flopped when an odds-on favourite for the Ascot handicap won by the selection. She's better than that but difficult to recommend as a consequence. The selection has been patiently handled by Gerard Butler; that Ascot win was a taking performance and arguably her best yet. Bahia Breeze was beaten just over a length in this race in 2006 and only lost out by three quarters of a length last year. This is likely to have been her target and this renewal may not be as strong. Barshiba's talented but hit and miss, Selinka and Eva's Request will need to be at their best whilst the admirable Lady Gloria looks held by Enforce. Lucy Wadham's in-foal mare readily beat her by two lengths at Goodwood and looks a leading contender as long as there's some juice in the ground. Cicerole has won four of her nine starts, including three Listed races, and she should be in the thick of the action but we're going to stick with the progressive BAHARAH.
