Little White Lie heads the short-list from Vitznau and Dream Lodge. Vitznau got the better of the selection in a seven furlong handicap at this meeting last year but was in receipt of 18lbs on that occasion. Vitznau's obviously improved whilst our selection has failed to win in that period but there are reasons for believing that he can exact revenge. He made a pleasing debut for his new yard when second to the talented Bushman and can come on for that run. He races from the same mark, handles the track and ground and has the tactical speed to hold a decent position if the field tacks across to the stand side which is often the case on soft ground. Ryan Moore rides this track well and he should have Dream Lodge in the right place throughout and he looks poised for a big run but probably needs the ground to dry out if he's to win. Vainglory, a stablemate of Bushman, is progressive but may find this test on the sharp side; Unshakable has gone well fresh and won this last year so can't be ignored but a bigger threat may be Royal Power who ran somewhere near his best on debut for his new yard last time. Preference, though, is for LITTLE WHITE LIE.
