Desert Dreamer has an obvious chance at the weights and showed at Salisbury on Wednesday that his turn may not be far away but the four-year-old may be better over six furlongs and preference is for Clara Bow, who gets the vote ahead of Pomfret Lad. The last mentioned failed to show in the Ayr Silver Cup last time but has solid claims on earlier form. Enford Princess has claims on Windsor form two starts ago but has disappointed either side of that and may not be one to trust implicitly. Consonant is difficult to catch right but may be helped by a first time visor, while Steel Blue has slipped down the weights but could probably do with some more help from the handicapper. The vote then goes to Clara Bow, who has not been beaten far in all three starts since winning a handicap at Newmarket in July and he looks to have been found a suitable opportunity to resume winning ways.
