Verdict

ALFREDO ARCANO was narrowly beaten by Duplication over the minimum here last month then reversed the form on a return visit a couple of weeks later when Guiding Star finished third. The extra furlong won't be a problem for either of the first two and it's David Marnane's charge who just gets the vote this time as he showed real battling qualities for his victory. Fox Dream dead-heated over 7f at Listowel in June and hasn't been beaten far in any of her subsequent races so she looks best of the remainder unless there is significant money for one of the newcomers.
