IRISH ACCLAIM, a winner over this trip at Kempton for Clive Cox, made a successful debut for new connections and though the SP of 50/1 suggested a shock there was no fluke about the victory and a 6lb rise looks manageable. Koybig has won four times here, though never over this trip, while Tyrconnell keeps finding one too good and is going up in the weights as a consequence. The latter had Prisoner's Dilemma a head behind last month and there's nothing between them. Never Back Down is on a long losing run though he's rarely beaten far from this sort of mark.
