Very Excellent won twice over shorter here last winter but has run poorly in two races over hurdles this summer. Construct was in fine form here at the backend of last year scoring over 2m in November though he's another who has run poorly over timber recently. His stable also run Arctic Blaze and Siobhan Rutledge steered her to an all-the-way victory at Tipperary though she's 10lb higher here as her rider can't use her claim. Effernock Fizz won over hurdles last month and isn't without a chance but the vote goes to JOUPE in the hope he's in the same kind of form as when completing a double here at the backend of last year.
