In depth

Verdict

Nina Carberry's presence on board SANTO PRINCE catches the eye and her mount takes his place on a hat-trick after victories on the Flat and over timber in October. He finished runner-up over the track and trip a year ago and can go one better. Poitin is also on a three-timer having scored over shorter trips but he'll have no problems staying having won over the distance at Kempton for Harry Dunlop. The maiden Jack Blue was running on over 1m4f a month ago and was narrowly beaten into third over the track and trip in September while Mr Boss Man has been in cracking form on Tapeta at Wolverhampton. Eshtiaal has his first start since a brilliant second in the USA version of the Grand National over hurdles at Far Hills and he has a couple of entries at Cheltenham. Manuka has fallen over fences since landing a minor handicap at Wolverhampton in December.
