In depth

Verdict

Mademoiselle Penny is 8lb higher than when successful here last October but only just failed to match the in-form Creeping Ivy here earlier this month and Danny Sheehan's claim can enable her to get competitive. Shelbe has had little experience so did very well to land a handicap over the course and distance three weeks ago and it will be a surprise if she's not in the action again. Super Focus dropped back to a mile to record her first success a fortnight ago but Gold Not Silver was racing over further when runner-up on the same day. The latter was having only his second start since April so has to be respected though this is likely to be run at a furious pace which should bring the stamina of BOMBER JACKSON into play. The six-year-old has won three times here, all over tonight's trip, and though he's been racing over further he was only caught in the dying strides last time and can gain victory number four on the track.
