An extremely moderate maiden where the market should be observed closely. Lonan showed a bit of promise on his debut here in November and looks the type to do better with age. Lady X takes a big step up in trip after her debut over a mile here last week when she ran well behind Saga Eiger. She'll be a threat if staying the extra but that remark also applies to ZEFTAN, who is handed the vote. He started 33/1 on his debut over a mile here a month ago but belied those odds with an eye-catching run behind La Belle Maison, staying on late when the race was over. That will have brought him on and he can get off the mark. The superbly-bred Shalaman makes his belated debut but is with the right man to have him straight.
