Gordon Elliott has a strong hand here with BRAID BLUE and Monkshood, who were returning from long absences when well beaten in a similar race at Wexford earlier this month. The former was making his chasing debut having completed a four-timer over timber before a close second at Cheltenham in October and looks the one to beat. Dollar Value was reasonably consistent over hurdles while Somptueux landed a Kilbeggan maiden hurdle in June and looks just the type for chasing having run a very useful winner close on his only start between the flags. Mister Eddman has a chaser's pedigree and is one to note.
