Verdict

Burrows Lane ran so well at Clonmel in May that he started favourite back there a couple of weeks later but couldn't produce a repeat performance. SWEET SHIRLEEN finished in front of him in that latter event then just failed to hold the late thrust of Blue Empyrean over this track and trip. Patrick Mullins takes over on the daughter of Kris Kin and should steer her home. Petit Oscar and Westinmare are the types to improve from their opening runs while Jamie Codd's presence on the newcomer Thelma's Dream is interesting.
