Blessed King returned to form when chasing home Ash Rowe at Wexford and a repeat would see him go close again but the concession of 7lb to the mare EMMA BEAG (NAP) could prove beyond him. Liz Doyle's five-year-old has looked a potentially decent staying prospect on her two starts this summer and her run behind Red Giant at Wexford was a particularly good effort as the winner followed-up at Kilbeggan a few days later. Wee Small Hours could hardly pick his feet up between the flags but showed that there are races for him with a very good effort over three miles at Bellewstown but Benarty Hill looks no closer to winning after 15 starts over timber.
