Ballyquin Boy has been very disappointing in maidens and makes his handicap debut but stablemate Fruit Blossom ran her best race to date when stepped up to this sort of trip at Thurles. WINDING RIVER won a 2m3f maiden here a year ago and has mainly been racing over fences subsequently and has been narrowly beaten the last twice. He can get back on the winning trail though Ballyglass Beauty looks a threat as she stays the trip well and looks well treated under her rider's claim. Speed Gang has failed to finish in three starts over fences but ran well when a close fourth in a Fairyhouse handicap in December.
