Verdict
A poor quality handicap but GREAT REALIEF has been running well enough for most of the season to get the nod. A winner over the trip at Gowran Park in May, he has run a couple of decent races from today's mark subsequently and this won't take much winning. He just holds Dream Dream Dream on their placed efforts at Tipperary in June though there is very little between the pair. Gaelic Revival would have a fine chance if able to repeat his close third to Prince Of Fashion over this course and distance in June and his subsequent starts have been over a mile which may not have suited. Intyre Trail ended the last campaign in good form on the Polytrack but his two runs on turf this season have been poor while Metroplis is still a maiden after 24 starts despite some decent efforts.
