Verdict

FINAL GIFT looked a smart prospect for John Costello when storming home in a Tramore hunter chase last month and will take some beating here. Russian Regent doesn't always get round but is very useful in this sphere when he does and would be a threat with a clear round. Mr Dickens, who had run well over hurdles here, could prove himself useful at this level with recent victories between the flags behind him while Shin A Vee started favourite for a race over the banks course at the Punchestown Festival despite a long absence and ran much better than his finishing position suggests.
