Serious Ego, a winning point-to-pointer, makes his handicap debut and his two recent runs offer little encouragement though he'll do better in time and should be suited by the longer trip. Sir Ector has had a run on the Flat since a good second at Sligo in August so should be ready while Caerleon Kate managed to lose her maiden tag at the 29th time of asking at Downpatrick. Mash Potato wasn't far behind in third in that latter event and has a fair chance of reversing the form while Brosna George is 0-18 but has gone close on several occasions and stays this trip well. CAIRNSHILL has only won once but that was over 3m1f and he looked ready to score again when just beaten at Uttoxeter in September so gets the vote.
