Compton's Finale made a very promising debut on the track when just failing to concede Emily Grace 11lb in a nursery last week. Recovery Road started off over 7f and looked as though he needed at least another furlong when outpaced over this trip at Navan. Black Martini made a very encouraging debut when a close fourth in a big field at Naas in September but Aidan O'Brien had several entries at the early stage and relies on CAPTAINOFTHEBOUNTY. The son of War Front has improved with every run and though no match for stable companion Western Frontier at Navan last week should be good enough to go one better. Nevereversaynever cost E80,000 and is a half-sister to several winners and may prove best of Jonjo Stack's pair while the dam of Loz has produced winners with her first two foals.
