Gordon Elliott has won the last two of these and makes a concerted effort for a hat-trick with four entries. Valmy Baie could prove the best of the quartet as he's had just three runs for the yard since arriving from France, scoring at Fairyhouse in February before a reasonable run from an 11lb higher mark at Punchestown. ART OF PAYROLL has been highly tried since landing a strong handicap at Leopardstown in March and will be better for a recent run on ground too quick. He's capable of further progress this season and is taken to concede weight all round. Strongpoint was sent across the Irish Sea for most of his runs last season and scored at Musselburgh and Perth. This is tougher while Stocktons Wing, a Grade 2 novice winner in February of last year, has failed to live up to that promise but has been running quite well on the Flat. Fethard Player had been racing over much further before dropping to this trip at Tipperary and coming home in impressive fashion. He's only been raised 4lb so must be a threat but Park Ranger has had a couple of moderate runs on the Flat since gaining his first victory over hurdles on his 18th start at Galway.
