Gosheven is potentially well treated on his handicap debut after beating the odds-on Silent Assistant in a maiden over track and trip earlier this month. The latter is trained by Emma Lavelle, who runs Flemcara in this. The eight-year-old looked to be coming to hand when fourth at Sandown and would enter calculations with further rain. Teescomponents Lad was a winner at Market Rasen last month and is only 3lb higher but Count Meribel and Ballydine are probably having a confidence-booster. THE MACON LUGNATIC is 2-2 here and almost certainly needed his run at Cheltenham. He wears cheekpieces for the first time and is definitely worth another try over this trip. Balloon Onabudget looks best of the rest.
