Kept Faith, Red Ash and Leo are the three for the shortlist in this open maiden and the vote is given to Kept Faith. The selection is a well-related newcomer from the Godolphin yard whose horses are beginning to find their form, and as he is a brother to a 2-year-old winner he could well be forward enough to do himself justice on this his racecourse bow. Similar comments would apply to Red Ash and as with our selection the market should be noted for any signs of confidence. Leo looks the best of those with racecourse experience and he shaped encouragingly on his debut when fourth behind Marcus Andronicus at York. If he improves for that run then he will not be far away at the finish. Eliminator ran very green last time at Ripon so he should come on for that run, but we are happy to put forward the Godolphin representative Kept Faith as the one they have to beat.
