    Verdict

Alfa McGuire won easily over this trip at Beverley, despite pulling hard. But he has to give weight here to less-exposed types who probably have more scope. Wafeer made a promising start over 6f at Haydock and any improvement on that would put him in the firing-line. Dark Acclaim was easy to back at the same track last month but stayed on well for pressure and Arch Gold can only improve on his Hamilton debut, when he started favourite. QAROUN has plenty of speed in his pedigree so it’s interesting that the Stoute team are starting him out over 7f. He cost 220,000gns and may just be a bit better than these.
