Verdict

SHADES OF BLUE will be a short price here after her winning debut at Ascot in May and a superb run when beaten a head in the Queen Mary at the Royal meeting. She obviously goes well fresh though both runs were on fast ground and rain is forecast. Time For Bed had plenty of chances but would have to be a threat on her final start when just half-a-length behind Lorton in a lucrative auction race at Newmarket. Mrs Discombe was a 66/1 chance at Nottingham in August but belied her odds with a fine effort though she'll need major improvement against these. Tapisserie cost 130,000gns and is the second foal of a 5f two-year-old winner who produced a 5f all-weather winner with her first so she'll have pace to burn.
