Polar Way looked unlucky at Newmarket last week and is taken to return to winning ways at the main expense of Atavus and Danger Over. The last mentioned represents the same connections as Dewhurst winner Milk It Mick so has to be respected. He deserves to win a race of this nature but may, once again, have to settle for a minor role. George Margarson's Atavus has been difficult to place again this year but should be able to dominate today and cannot be dismissed lightly. Ayr Gold Cup winner Quito is just as effective over this trip as over six furlongs but needs to improve to trouble the selection. Polar Way did not help his cause in the starting stalls at Newmarket last time and then found trouble in running but, in a smaller field today, that should not be a problem here and he gets the vote. Digital looks the best of the remainder.
