A real hotch-potch of abilities with few having any real chance of scooping the pool. The race looks to be at the mercy of Malton trainer, Tim Easterby, who looks to hold a real nap hand on this occasion. Golden Nun has done little wrong this season and only saw one blip when the draw beat her at Chester. Her experience is confined to a faster surface and on this occasion, the TEAMtalk nod is given the way of her stablemate, Cumbrian Venture. He is already proven on this surface and despite the ground being a little too fast for him at York, there were plenty of confident market vibes surrounding his bid and in the end, he demonstrated a fair amount of tenaciousness when giving Avonbridge a run for his money. Looking Down has to be respected in this contest having done nothing wrong in a similar race at Ascot. Of those at bigger prices, Notty Bitz makes some appeal. A winner of a nursery at Pontefract, he did not disgrace himself behind Steelaninch at Ascot. Kevin Ryan's team always send out a decent representative and Seashore is his sole entry. A watching brief is advised on the market with regard to the daughter of Prince Sabo. She has been disappointing in better company but Dale Gibson seems to save some of his best riding performances for this track and the horse looks to have conditions to suit.
