In depth

Verdict

It doesn't look to be the hottest of maidens by any means but with the mile taking some getting, TEAMtalk plumps for the racecourse experience of Discreet Brief. Although she is yet to meet anything like this surface, she was only tapped for toe in the closing stages of her Newmarket maiden and her performance was enough to suggest that her turn in the winners enclosure was not far away. Of the newcomers, Henry Cecil has two notable representatives. Amalianburg looks to be the most precocious on pedigree whereas Instant Thought has a more middle-distance like breeding. Hecuba was well backed before putting in a stinker at Salisbury on debut and there should be better to come. The Ed Dunlop trio do not look to be out of the ordinary although Expertise should be at home over both the trip and going.
