A fairly competitive finale but Nickel Sun is the choice to give weight and a beating to his rivals. Sue Smith's charge has won four of his last six starts including when bouncing back to form at Haydock last month. The son of Phardante stayed on strongly to score with some authority and this generally progressive type looks capable of defying a subsequent 6lb rise. Beaver Lodge was a winner last time at Market Rasen but had nothing to spare and is now 5lb higher so is likely to struggle but Old Marsh was clear when a faller last time and should go well if none the worse for the experience. Exstoto shaped as though he was ready to strike when runner-up last time and merits respect while Time N Tide was disappointing last time but has claims on his comfortable success at Bangor previously.
