Extra Cache came late to hand out a one-length defeat of Fireball Macnamara over the course and distance last month. The former showed plenty of determination to score on that occasion but is not the safest of conveyances and Mark Pitman's gelding is expected to reverse the form on 6lb better terms. A useful hurdler, the son of Lord Americo has shown plenty of promise over the larger obstacles having finished runner-up on all three chase starts to date. As long as the ground does not deteriorate any further, the seven-year-old can gain a well deserved victory over fences. Ex French performer Day du Roy is difficult to assess but created a good impression when scoring easily last time and is respected on his British debut despite some of his trainer's representatives running a little below form of late. Diceman stepped up on previous efforts when landing a novice hurdle event at the track last time but lacks experience over fences while Tarasco made an inauspicious start to his chasing career when a faller at Bangor and has something to prove.
