John Best's INLER created a favourable impression when making all to win a Newmarket maiden last week and the son of Red Ransom can follow up in this Listed race where the main dangers look to be Citrus Star and Corporal Maddox. Henry Cecil's colt has failed to make the grade in group races but won well in a listed race when successful at Epsom in June and he has to be respected dropped back into this grade, although he does have a penalty to carry for his earlier success. Layla's Hero is another with a penalty to carry following his win at York last time but he cannot be discounted having won that race with plenty in hand. Archers Road has plenty to find with Layla's Hero on running last time and of more interest may be Richard Fahey's Coolminx, who was beaten into second place in that race at York and is now 3lbs better in with the David Nicholls-trained runner. Chris Wall's Citrus Star looks to be going the right way following his decent win in a Windsor handicap earlier this month and looks ready for the step up to a listed race but Inler won very well at Newmarket last week and can score again.
