The lightly raced Reverence has seemed to handle the cut in the ground perfectly well in winning races at Doncaster and Pontefract in his last two starts and is taken to complete a hat-trick at the main expense of Playful Dane and Cape Royal. The last mentioned represents the yard of Milton Bradley that always has to be respected with his sprinters although the burden of 9st 4lb may be a steadier for him. Stablemate Whistler has ground conditions to suit but is on a long losing sequence and of more interest may be Tim Easterby's King's Gait, who bounced back to form at Mussleburgh last time but has more to do in a better race now. Malapropism deserves to get his head in front but is facing an unequal battle with the handicapper, while Fantasy Believer is another that is difficult to catch right. Ok Pal, River Falcon and Wanchai Lad are others to consider but Reverence is a progressive performer and has every chance of making it three on the bounce.
