          Verdict

          It often pays to back handicap top-weights in early season three-year-old contests and we will side with Aljazeera. Ben Hanbury's filly managed to break her maiden tag at Newmarket after contesting two hot maidens previously. El Coto makes some appeal from the Bryan McMahon stable. The handler regularly makes tilts at the Doncaster ring and punters should take the hint that the horse hasn't had the unkindest cut of all over the close season. Pigeon Point is respected from the Richard Hannon stable. She had took a while to come to hand last term but didn't do a lot wrong when scoring at Newmarket. Her record at Doncaster is not great though and more will be needed now that the handicapper has had his chance. Bigalothegigalo hails from an in-from yard but this represents a tougher assignment from the modest two-year-olds he took on in Northern maidens.
