Bridle Belle won at Thirsk and Ayr in her first season and it's reasonable to expect further improvement this year. But she may just be vulnerable on her reappearance on a quicker surface and we are inclined to give ASHVA a chance to prove himself in handicap company. Michael Dods has his string in good order and his son of Quiet American showed promise on turf last year before getting off the mark in a Southwell maiden on his return to action. A mark of 79 doesn't look restrictive here. Belgian Bill won over 7f here as a two-year-old and contested a Group 3 at Newmarket on his final start last year, but Orange Ace has more to do than when winning a Kempton maiden in November and Fred Willetts is better on the all-weather.
