Some interesting three-year-olds here, a number of whom such as Idder and Billingsgate, give the impression that the best is yet to come. The aforementioned pair are certainly worth consideration but the more experienced GILBEY'S MATE is preferred. He looked likely to land the prize last time at this track where his yard enjoys a good record when coming to smoothly make his challenge before failing to quicken at the business end. The heavy ground may well have been to blame and the Gosden inmate deserves another chance in an admittedly better race on the forecast better ground. Mayfield Boy and Flycatcher are closely matched on latest running whilst Hiking is a fascinating contender for Juddmonte. She was only a short-head away from ending last season with an unbeaten record and will be very much one to watch if the market indicates she's ready to roll on her first outing since mid-October.
